My favorite moment from this past Sunday: Lucille Porter giggling like a little girl after I gave her the 2010 Servant Award for Christlike serving and asked her in the service if she found fulfillment and satisfaction in serving. When’s the last time you heard a 96 year old giggle?
Oh my, what a blessing to see her beautiful, joy-filled face. I attended MOPS back in 2001 and 2002. She worked the registration/check-in desk and the kindness of her face (and assumed wisdom in her eyes) made her come to mind often through the years since then. We moved out of state in 2005 and still she would come to mind occasionally. And there she is. Thank you for sharing this. It blessed me.
